Let me tell you, this does not get easier..at all.. I am at a point where I am posting all over to figure out what the heck is going on..
When I joined for this i thought this is cool, instead of having a real merchant account gateway and all that stuff and pay shitload..
BUT now I am thinking maybe i did not do the right thins.. This is hard to implement... |

I agree with you.. I am a developer and looks like it is going to be a lot of sleepless nights before I implement this..
All the other gateway/merchant account providers have solutions and samples that you can implement in one day.. I wonder why paypal has not done it yet?
Simple sample PHP code. With parameters that you can change.. for cert keys, ssl etc..
Ofcourse I can build all the other screens and get all the credit card information on variables that I can pass to this ONE magic page/script which will then post to PAYPAL and give you the result back to another script that will read SUCCESS or FAIL..
Just for CAPTURE function
Currently I am in the process of setting up the webconsole. I ran into SEVERAL road blocks, that I overcame, now I cannot run the webconsole API tester.. half way down the road.. (for the sample transaction search script, just like in the pdf help file) it fails..
Item with Item ID 'bdf2f39e83fdb7a02c506d430ec9ee99' was invalid. Cannot continue.
about 10 or so lines of similar statements and then
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/httpd/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/WebConsole/WebTester/lib/functions.inc.php on line 116
(Sighing...!) I did not give up yet! Still trying to get through!
Is it just me or anyone else felt "Who in the hell wrote those help files for website payments pro..) GOD.. I mean the "quickstart-php.txt" is a joke. I dont need 10 steps explaining how to request a API cert. I am a programmer, I can figure that one. Tell me what your SDK expects, how to call it , what parameters to pass, where exactly to place it, how it calls paypal internally..etc..
(looks like someone wrote it to make it look longer..!)
Oh well..let me go troubleshoot.. |
